Celebrations in Kakamega as Local Wins KSh 1 Million in Coca-Cola's ‘KachingChingNaCoke’
Activities came to a standstill in Kakamega Town as hundreds of residents gathered to celebrate the winner of KSh 1 million in the popular ‘KachingChingNaCoke’ game by Coca-Cola. The winner, Justus Okello, was issued the cheque in a lively ceremony attended by jubilant community members.
Justus, who has been participating in the game for about two years, expressed his disbelief at winning after numerous unsuccessful attempts. He admitted that he almost gave up on the game, doubting its legitimacy. Little did he know that his perseverance would eventually make him a millionaire.
"I have been playing KachingChing for a while now, participating more than 40 times with different Coca-Cola brands, but I was not lucky to win anything," said an emotional Justus.
"I participated in different Coca-Cola promotions without success and almost gave up at some point due to mistrust."
Despite his earlier doubts, Justus's patience and belief ultimately paid off. He encouraged others to take part in similar promotions, as they too might get lucky. He revealed that he plans to use his winnings to further his education, empower his family, and support the community that has stood by him.
Laren Kiptoo, the Manager for Coca-Cola in Kakamega, congratulated Justus on his win and urged more Kenyans to participate in the game. He acknowledged that some customers were initially skeptical about the competition but emphasized that Justus's win proves the legitimacy of the promotion.
"In this competition, we have various awards, including cash prizes sent directly to the winners' phones, but the KSh 1 million is the main cash prize. This has helped build trust in the competition, and I encourage everyone to participate," said Kiptoo.
“KachingChingNaCoke” is a Coca-Cola promotion that offers consumers the chance to win cash prizes ranging from KSh 50 to KSh 10,000 daily, delivered straight to the winner’s mobile money account. The grand cash prize is KSh 1 million.
