Generation Z Leads Nationwide Protests for Government Accountability

Young Kenyans, dissatisfied with the political leadership and current state of affairs, have taken to the streets in various towns across the country to demand change and reforms.
In Kisii town, businesses remained closed for most of the day due to planned anti-government protests.
Demonstrators began gathering momentum around midday, singing anti-government songs throughout the streets.
At the Capital roundabout, heavy police deployment was evident, with officers monitoring key installations in the town.
Despite potential provocations, the police avoided direct confrontation with the protesters.
The demonstrators addressed President William Ruto, demanding a fresh lineup of cabinet ministers to oversee various departments in the country.
Similar demonstrations took place today in various Kenyan counties including Kakamega, Nairobi, Kisumu, Homabay, Nakuru, and others.
These protests are centered around demands for government accountability under President William Ruto.
