The Bungoma Governor, Kenneth Lusaka, has called on youths to embrace dialogue, asserting that their concerns have been communicated and the government must be given a chance to respond.

Speaking at Kibuk Girls in Mt. During a fundraiser for the school's infrastructural development, Lusaka acknowledged the legitimacy of the grievances raised by Gen Z protesters sparked by the contentious 2024 Finance Bill.

Lusaka emphasized the need for constructive conversations between the government and the protesters to address these issues effectively.

"While the right to protest is fundamental, open dialogue could pave the way for more effective and lasting solutions," Lusaka stated.

The event was presided over by the President's Advisor on Women's Affairs, Harriet Chiggai, and attended by First Lady Dr. Margaret Makelo. The two supported Lusaka's appeal for mutual understanding and resolution through dialogue.
